TrackMedi - private medication reminder and health tracker
TrackMedi keeps medications, doses, vital signs, and appointments in one place - with no account, no backend, and no cloud sync. Every record is written to an encrypted database on the device that created it, and reminders are scheduled locally. Backups are yours to make: a passphrase-encrypted file, free on every tier, written where you choose.

Built around a daily treatment routine
Everything a person or caregiver needs to stay on track: medication schedules with multiple dose times, reminders with repeat follow-ups, vital-sign trends, appointments, and individual profiles per person - all encrypted on the phone, and all portable through a backup only you can open.
Encrypted, Local-First Records
Records are written to an encrypted database on your device and nowhere else, keyed by a value that stays in the phone's secure storage. There is no account to breach and no server holding your history, so we can never read it, lose it, or hand it over.
Medication and Dose tracking
Daily or as-needed medications with dosage, form, colour, and several dose times. Each dose is reminded at its scheduled minute, then again after 30 and 60 minutes until it is marked taken or skipped.
Vital Sign Logging
Blood pressure with pulse, blood glucose, and body temperature, each with a timestamp and notes. Readings show range feedback and trends, in mg/dL or mmol/L and °C or °F.
Appointment Scheduling
Doctor, specialty, date and time, location, and preparation notes, with a local reminder at the offset you choose. Upcoming and past visits stay separate.
Care Recipients
Separate profiles for family members, dependants, or pets, each with their own medications, logs, vitals, and appointments. Archive a profile to stop its reminders without losing its history.
Daily Routine and Adherence
Doses group into overnight, morning, afternoon, evening, night, and as-needed. Mark each one taken or skipped and follow the consecutive-day streak.
Encrypted Backup and Restore
A backup is one file, sealed on the phone with a passphrase only you know, and saved to a folder you pick or your own Google Drive. Turn on a daily check and it keeps itself current. Restoring asks for that passphrase - lose it and nobody, us included, can open the file.
What stays, what leaves
A local-first claim is only worth as much as the list behind it, so here is the whole list: the encryption that protects what stays, every category of health record TrackMedi keeps on your phone, and every piece of information that ever leaves it - including the one file that leaves only because you sent it, sealed, to your own storage.
Encrypted at rest
Every installed build keys its database with a random 256-bit value, generated on the phone, that never leaves it and never reaches us. A backup you export is sealed separately, under a passphrase we never see.
- Encryption
- AES-256, over the whole database file and its write-ahead log alike
- Key store
- Android Keystore-backed secure storage, excluded from Google Auto Backup
- Backup files
- AES-256-GCM, sealed and authenticated on the phone before anything is written or uploaded
- Backup key
- Derived from your passphrase with scrypt. The passphrase itself is stored nowhere - not on the device, not with us
Stays on the device
Written to the encrypted database on the phone. Nothing here is transmitted anywhere unless you export a backup yourself.
- Medications, dosages, forms, and schedules
- Dose history - taken, skipped, and missed
- Blood pressure, glucose, and temperature readings
- Appointments and preparation notes
- Care-recipient profiles
- The local reminder schedule
Leaves the device
Network requests made by Google's SDKs, none of which carry health data - plus the one file you send yourself, which is ciphertext.
- An encrypted backup file, only when you upload one to your own Google Drive
- Ad requests to Google AdMob, in the free version
- Your advertising ID and app set ID, with those requests
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address
- Device, app, and diagnostic details, plus ad interactions
- Purchase and entitlement checks through Google Play Billing
No TrackMedi account, no application backend, and no push tokens - backups go to your storage, never to a RaadCraft server, and we could not read one if we had it. We add no analytics SDK of our own; Google uses the ad data it receives for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Nothing you enter is ever included in an ad request.

Questions people ask first
Short, direct answers on where your health records live, how encryption protects them on the device, how to back them up and move them to a new phone, who else you can track alongside yourself, and what TrackMedi costs.
StorageStorageAre my health records stored on a server?
No. TrackMedi is a local-first application, so your health records stay entirely on your device. The app only makes network requests for Google AdMob and Google Play Billing, and your health records are never included in those requests.
EncryptionEncryptionIs what the app stores on my phone encrypted?
Yes. Every installed build writes your records to a database protected with AES-256 encryption, keyed by a random 256-bit value that is generated on your phone and kept in the platform's secure storage, backed by the Android Keystore. Both the database file and its write-ahead log are ciphertext, and the key never leaves the device. Encryption is not a substitute for a screen lock: anyone holding your unlocked phone can still open the app.
BackupBackupCan I back up my records or move them to a new phone?
Yes, and it costs nothing - backup is free on every tier, including the free one. TrackMedi packs your records into a single file, encrypts it on the phone with a passphrase you choose, and saves it either to a folder you pick with Android's own folder picker or straight to your Google Drive. Drive access is limited to the files TrackMedi itself creates, in a visible TrackMedi Backups folder; the app has no backup server of its own and nothing passes through us. You can also switch on a daily check: it runs when you open TrackMedi or return to it, once a day has passed, and writes a new file when your records have changed or when it cannot confirm the last one is still there. TrackMedi keeps the seven most recent at each destination. Restoring on a new phone means installing TrackMedi, choosing the file, and entering that passphrase.
ProfilesProfilesCan I track medications for someone else?
Yes. The Care Recipients feature keeps a separate profile for each person or pet, with its own medications, dose history, vitals, and appointments. It suits a caregiver managing a family member's prescriptions, or an ageing pet's daily doses and vet visits. Archive a profile to stop its reminders without losing its history.
PricingPricingWhat does TrackMedi cost?
TrackMedi is free to install from Google Play, with every feature supported by a single banner ad per main tab. Premium removes the ads for $1.49 a month or $9.99 a year, and a one-time purchase of $29.99 removes them for good. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in the Google Play Store.
RecoveryRecoveryWhat happens to my data if I lose my phone?
That depends entirely on whether you made a backup, which is why the feature is free. Without one, your records existed solely on that device, encrypted with a key held in its own secure storage, and nobody can bring them back - not RaadCraft, not anyone holding the drive, because a copy of the database without its key cannot be opened. With a backup, you install TrackMedi on the new phone and restore from the file with your passphrase. The one thing we cannot help with either way is a forgotten passphrase: there is no reset link, because there is no account and no server holding a copy.
VitalsVitalsWhat kind of vitals can I log?
Blood pressure with pulse, blood glucose, and body temperature. Each reading carries a timestamp and notes, displays in mg/dL or mmol/L and °C or °F, and comes with range feedback and trends over time.
Building something that handles sensitive data?
Local-first architecture, careful permissions, and honest privacy copy are engineering decisions. We can help you make them.
